Before cooking
- Follow manufacturer clearances
- Check hoses and connections where applicable
- Clean grease accumulation
- Keep the unit stable and outdoors
- Keep children and pets away
After use
- Shut down fuel according to instructions
- Allow equipment to cool safely
- Do not move hot ashes into combustible containers
- Check nearby siding, deck and roof areas after an incident
- Call for assessment if smoke entered the building
